1. Who operates this site
MobCrafter Hub (the "Site") is operated by an independent creator under the domain mobcrafter.net. The Site is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. For questions about this policy, see the Contact page.
2. Information collected from all visitors
When you visit any page on MobCrafter Hub, standard web infrastructure may process the following information:
- IP address and approximate location — processed by Cloudflare's CDN to route requests and enforce security rules. This is standard for any website using a CDN.
- Browser and device information — browser user-agent, referring URL, and page requested, as logged by Cloudflare infrastructure.
- Access logs — page views and API requests may be logged for infrastructure diagnostics and abuse prevention.
The Site does not require registration to browse public pages, view release details, or download public files.
3. Information collected when you log in
Authenticated flows (submitting releases, editing, and moderation) require logging in through Cloudflare Access, a zero-trust identity service. When you authenticate:
- Cloudflare Access processes your identity token, which may include your email address and a user identifier provided by your identity provider.
- The Site stores your email address internally as the owner identifier for submissions you create or edit. This email is not displayed publicly unless you choose to include it in creator metadata.
- An author name (typically derived from your email prefix) is stored and may be displayed publicly on release and creator pages.
4. Information collected when you submit a release
When you use the Quick Upload flow, the following data is stored in the Site's database (Cloudflare D1) and file storage (Cloudflare R2):
- Title, description, and tags — shown publicly on the release detail page and browse listings.
- Author name and email — email used for ownership verification; author name shown publicly if provided.
- Content type, file availability, and access type metadata — controls how the release is displayed.
- External and support URLs — links you provide are displayed publicly on the release page.
- Uploaded files (JSON, schematic, ZIP, screenshots) — stored in Cloudflare R2 and accessible to any visitor who opens the release page.
- Download count and like count — stored and displayed publicly.
- Submission and modification timestamps — used for sorting and moderation.
5. Comments and likes
If you post a comment, the following data is stored and displayed publicly:
- Comment text (up to 1,000 characters).
- Your display name (author name) and login status.
- Timestamp of the comment.
Like counts are shown publicly. Individual liker identity is not displayed.
6. Cookies and local storage
The Site uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage:
- Cloudflare Access session cookies — required to maintain your authenticated session. These are set by Cloudflare infrastructure, not directly by the Site's own code.
- Browser local storage — the upload form may temporarily store draft data in your browser's local storage to preserve form state during the upload flow. This data stays on your device only.
- Third-party advertising cookies — see Section 7 below for details on Google AdSense cookies.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect authentication and site functionality.
7. Third-party advertising — Google AdSense
MobCrafter Hub uses Google AdSense to display advertisements on some pages. Google AdSense and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide relevant advertisements.
- Google's advertising cookies may track your browsing across sites to build a profile for personalized ad targeting.
- Opt out of personalized advertising: Visit Google Ads Settings to manage or disable personalized ads from Google.
- Opt out of third-party advertising cookies: Visit Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out or Your Online Choices (EU).
- You can also use your browser's cookie settings to block all third-party cookies.
For more information on how Google uses data from sites and apps that use Google advertising services, see: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
8. Third-party services
The Site integrates with the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare — CDN, hosting, DDoS protection, Access authentication, D1 database, and R2 storage. Cloudflare processes infrastructure-level request data. See: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense / Google LLC — third-party advertising network. See: Google Privacy Policy.
- External creator links — some releases link to CurseForge, Patreon, YouTube, GitHub, or other third-party platforms. Once you follow those links, those platforms' own privacy policies govern the interaction.
The Site does not sell personal information to third parties. Personal data is shared with third parties only as necessary to operate the service (for example, routing requests through Cloudflare's infrastructure) or as described in this policy.
9. Data retention
Release metadata, comments, and like records are retained for as long as the associated release exists on the Site. Soft-deleted (hidden) releases may retain internal records for moderation and abuse-prevention purposes. If you need a public release removed, use the edit flow from your creator dashboard or contact us.
10. Children's privacy
MobCrafter Hub is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will take steps to review and remove that information.
11. Your rights and choices
- Opt out of personalized advertising — see Section 7 above for how to manage Google and third-party advertising cookies.
- Request removal of your public submissions — use the creator dashboard to unpublish or delete your own releases. Alternatively, contact us for assistance with takedowns.
- Access or correction requests — if you believe data about you is inaccurate or you wish to request access to what the Site stores about you, contact us with your request.
- DMCA / copyright concerns — see the DMCA page.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the Site's data practices or applicable laws. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed when updates are made. Continued use of the Site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
